LIBRARIES MISSION STATEMENT AND GUIDING PRINCIPLES

The mission of Wichita State University Libraries is to make available the information resources necessary for learning, teaching, and research and to provide the services that enable students, faculty, and staff to use these resources. University Libraries also supports the University’s service mission by providing community and statewide access to its resources.

· We put the needs of the library client first in all matters.
· We provide services ethically and with respect for intellectual, ethnic, racial, socio-economic, cultural, and physical diversity.
· We work together cooperatively and as a team to provide the highest quality of services.
· Our decisions and activities are guided by fiscal responsibility and sound management  practices and principles.
· We embrace continuous improvement in response to a constantly evolving environment.
· We are a unique bridge between multi-discipline college departments, campus services, and administrative units.
