Virtual Reference Shelf

Listed here are four noteworthy general collections of links to online reference tools.  Oxford Reference Online is purchased by the library; the other three collections are free on the Web:

This Virtual Reference Shelf page provides links to (1) electronic databases purchased by the library (each is followed by an icon, which gives detailed information about its scope) and (2) quality resources free on the Web.  To use electronic databases purchased by the library, you must be a student, faculty or staff member.  Feel free to Ask! a librarian for help.

Note: Links to subject-specific online reference tools are found on pages created by Subject Librarians (specialists).
