Engineering and
Physical Sciences Librarian
Wichita State University Libraries invites applications for
the position of Engineering and Physical Sciences Librarian.
Required
Qualifications: ALA-accredited master’s degree and ability to work in the
United States; excellent oral and written communication skills; evidence of
self-motivation and service orientation; ability to work successfully in a
collegial environment and with diverse populations; knowledge of trends in
academic libraries; knowledge of trends in scholarly research and publishing in
appropriate disciplines; and demonstrated potential for meeting the Libraries’
tenure and promotion requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional
graduate degree in an academic area related to the assignment, educational
background or work-related experience in an academic area related to the assignment,
and recent experience in an academic or specialized library in an area related
to the assignment.
Salary and
benefits: Starting minimum
salary of $40,000 for 12-month contract; excellent professional development
support, vacation and benefits, including TIAA-CREF. Librarians are tenure-track appointees.
