Constitution Day University Libraries celebrated Constitution Day on September 16 with a short celebration in front of the Circulation Desk. Faculty, staff and students gathered to recite the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution simultaneously with other organizations across the nation while watching a short broadcast that featured Gen. Tommy Franks leading the recitation. An introduction to the program was provided by Jane Hodge. A drawing was held after the recitation for the winners of the "Do You Know Your Constitution" contest. Only those who had answered all of the constitution quiz questions were eligible for the drawing. The grand prize was a Shocker duffle bag filled with goodies. A lobby display also was prepared by Nan Myers, Government Documents Librarian, and Jo Gregg, Library Assistant in Government Documents, that featured information resources for all ages.
