Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS)

Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS), Compustat, and Eventus are provided by the W. Frank Barton School of Business and the University Libraries.

WRDS is a business data research service from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.  It is a collection of financial, economic, accounting, public policy and banking databases, including CompuStat and Eventus

WRDS is restricted to current Wichita State University affiliates.  If you fall within one of the categories listed below, you may request an individual account from WRDS.

Faculty: Accounts are available to all standing faculty of Wichita State University.  This allows unlimited access and includes 750 MB of storage.

Research  Assistant: Accounts apply to students doing active research under faculty supervision.  These accounts require a faculty sponsor.  This allows access to WRDS and includes 750 MB of storage.

Class: Accounts can only be requested by standing faculty of Wichita State University and provide a means for Undergraduates and MBAs to use WRDS as part of a registered class or course project. This allows up to 10 simultaneous users and there is no storage space.

Ph.D.: Accounts are offered to currently-registered doctoral students at Wichita State University.  This allows unlimited access and 750 MB of storage.

Visitor: Accounts apply to visiting faculty (nonpermanent or part time positions).  These accounts are subject to additional review by WRDS and may not be used after the visiting appointment ends.  This allows unlimited use and 750 MB of storage.
