Each month WSU Libraries' Department of Collection Development features a "Resource of the Month" designed to highlight some of the library's new, interesting, under-used, large, unique, or otherwise noteworthy collections and resources.  You can learn more about the "Resource of the Month" on this website, from the display in the reference area, by attending a workshop (if available), or by contacting the Reference Desk at 978-3584.

ABI/INFORM is a business centered electronic database.  It serves as an access point for some of the most well-respected business journals in the world.  It offers thorough indexing that contains thousands of journals that allow clients to track business conditions, management techniques, business trends, management practice and theory, corporate strategy and tactics, and competitive landscape worldwide.  The database includes ABI/INFORM Global, ABI/INFORM Dateline, and ABI/INFORM Trade & Industry.

How Do I Access ABI/INFORM Online?

There is a link on the WSU Libraries' website under Electronic Resources / Electronic Databases.  You have the option of looking for it under the subject links or the alphabetic links (  If you are accessing ABI/INFORM from off-campus you will be prompted to enter your Shocker Card number and PIN number for authentication purposes.

Why Should I Use ABI/INFORM Online?

ABI/INFORM contains over 2,800 full-text titles covering business and economic conditions, corporate strategies, management techniques, as well as competitive and product information.  Its international coverage gives researchers a complete picture of companies and business trends around the world. 

Researchers will find in-depth coverage of companies, products, executives, trends, and other topics.  They can study and compare specific trades and industries.  Locate hard-to-find local and regional business publications with news about local companies, analysis, information on local markets, and more.  It also allows clients to research employment opportunities, compile data on benefits and compensation, learn about corporate strategies, and other topics from a local and regional perspective.
