Resource of the Month

Each month WSU Libraries' Department of Collection Development features a "Resource of the Month" designed to highlight some of the library's new, interesting, under-used, large, unique, or otherwise noteworthy collections and resources.  You can learn more about the "Resource of the Month" on this website, from the display in the reference area, by attending a workshop (if available), or by contacting the Reference Desk at 978-3584.

Compendex® on Ei Engineering Village 2

Compendex is recognized as the leading database resource for engineering citations and abstracts.  It features:

  • over 8 million journal article citations, conference proceedings, and dissertations

How do I access Compendex?

Compendex is available to current Wichita State University students, faculty, and staff.  A link to Compendex can be found on the WSU Libraries' Electronic Databases web page at http://library.wichita.edu/colldev/databases/alphadatabase.htm  Scroll down to "Compendex on Engineering Village 2".  Click on the link.

Why should I use Compendex?

Compendex provides engineering researchers with access to the scientific literature and technical information they need most.  The database allows students, faculty, and staff the ability to search through comprehensive subject coverage of virtually every engineering discipline in the Compendex databases including:

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Chemical Engineering

  • Civil Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Materials Science

  • General Engineering
