U.S. Congressional Serial Set (1817-1980) is a comprehensive compilation of all the reports, journals, and documents of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate.  It includes materials from key pre-Civil War era Executive Department publications that were published only or primarily in the U.S. Congressional Serial Set.  This collection begins with the first session of the 15th Congress.

Also included in this database is the American State Papers which is a retrospective collection of materials originating from 1789 through 1838 but published in the second quarter of the 19th century.
