Resource of the Month

Each month WSU Libraries' Department of Collection Development features
a "Resource of the Month" designed to highlight some of the library's new, interesting,
under-used, large, unique, or otherwise noteworthy collections and
resources. You can learn more about the "Resource of the Month" on
this website, from the display in the reference area, by attending a
workshop (if available), or by contacting the Reference Desk at
978-3584.

CollegeSource Online is a virtual library representing over 34,557 complete
cover-to-cover, original page format College Catalogs. The
catalogs are from 2-year, 4-year, graduate, professional and
international schools.

How Do I
Access CollegeSource Online?
There is a
link on the WSU Libraries' website under Electronic Resources /
Electronic Databases. You have the option of looking for it under
the subject links or the alphabetic links (http://library.wichita.edu/colldev/electrondatabase.htm).
If you are accessing
CollegeSource Online from off-campus you will be prompted to
enter your Shocker Card number and PIN number for authentication
purposes.
Why Should
I Use CollegeSource Online?
CollegeSource helps make searching college catalogs simpler and more
convenient. Compare colleges and college programs online.
Advanced searching allows users to find colleges by major, tuition, state,
enrollment, degrees, and affiliation. Links to
college home pages, international college home pages, career
information, and financial aid information are also listed.
CollegeSource also features a profile of every accredited college in the
U.S. Other useful information includes a link to the college's
website, a map from where you are to the college using Expedia.com, and
if applicable a cross reference link. The cross reference link
displays any information regarding institutional name changes, common
aliases, and institutional mergers.
