Why Should
I Use Grove Music Online?
Musicians, music students, and all who
have an interest in music will find this online resource indispensable.
Grove Music Online, through a partnership with Sibelius notation
software, provides over 500 musical examples in sound as well as
notation. It is in continual growth with both newly commissioned
material and more articles from other Grove dictionaries. To find
out about the most recent updates, read the "What's New" section (see
Related Websites below).
Grove Music Online provides both
advanced searching and browse capabilities. Search Tips are
displayed on each search screen to help with search strategies.
The researcher can use the advanced search to search full text,
biographies, bibliographies, links, contributors, and works lists.
Browsing is available for articles, abbreviations, contributors, and the
index. Special features include links to the Sibelius examples,
