ABI/INFORM provides indexing to over 900
business trade journals, magazines, and journals,
and for each entry an abstract of the article is included. Full text is
available for approximately half the titles indexed. ABI/INFORM also offers full
text of the Wall Street Journal from 1984-present. As with paper indexes,
you may search
by specific subject terms. Also, individual words and phrases may be searched for in the titles of articles
or in their abstracts. This allows for information on very detailed concepts and rarely mentioned
companies to be located quickly. Full text articles can be emailed to

The FRED II database includes over 800 U.S. economic time series. With FRED II you can download data in

those that are compressed, are in ASCII format. Compressed files

University. The numbers are based on summary statistics generated by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
Computer tapes from the IRS tabulate the total dollar value of business tax returns line by line. Troy uses
this aggregate data to calculate figures in common size and ratio form. Although the publication appears
annually, there is a considerable time lag before IRS data are made available-generally about three years.

In 1900, John Moody published Moody's® Manual of Industrial and
Miscellaneous Securities, the first guide to U.S. public companies. Mergent,
with its purchase of Moody’s, now provides this in-depth company information
once only available in printed manuals via the Internet. MergentOnline provides
a fully searchable database of 15,000 U.S. public companies (active and
inactive) listed on the NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ, and includes corporate
information for 20,000 non-U.S. companies. Fifteen years is the standard time
frame for the financial data provided. Each company report also includes
up-to-the-minute news items, a company description (narrative with SIC and NAICS
information), and information on a company’s executives, property, capital
stock (dividends and splits) and long-term debt (bonds and notes). Financial
information may be downloaded utilizing software applications such as
Microsoft® Word, Microsoft® Excel or Adobe® Acrobat® Reader®.

company's perspective. They usually
contain narrative descriptions of the company's operations, special projects, its goals for the future, and
financial statistics. Include an income statement and balance sheet for present and preceding fiscal years.

EDGAR, the Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrival
system,
performs automated collection of submissions by companies to the U.S.
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). All public domestic companies
are required to make their fillings on EDGAR, except for filings made to
the Commission's regional offices and filings made in paper because of a
hardship exemption. Annual reports to shareholders (except in the case
of investment companies) need not be submitted on EDGAR, although some
companies do so voluntarily. However, the annual report on Form 10-K or
10-KSB, which contains much of the same information, is

The COMPUSTAT (North America) database contains fundamental financial, statistical and
market data for U.S. and Canadian corporations, banks, S&L’s, ADR’s/ADS’s, business
segments, geographical areas, industry composites and indexes. Extensive coverage of annual
and quarterly Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and supplemental data items is
provided on publicly held companies. COMPUSTAT (North America) data is derived from
publicly traded companies and closed-end funds trading on the NYSE, AMEX, NASDAQ, OTC
and Canadian stock exchanges, and wholly-owned subsidiaries of companies that are required to

Each page of the Daily Stock Price Record carries three
months of day-by-day prices on up to five different stocks.
The high, low and closing prices of stocks traded are
given, plus bid and asked prices for non-traded
securities.
Shown for each stock are its ticker symbol, shares
outstanding, dividend information, earnings for most recently
reported four quarters, short interest position, a weekly
relative strength ratio, and a 30-week moving average
price. Each volume also contains daily information on
such stock market indicators as daily S&P's 500 Composite
Index and its components; Dow Jones Avarages; total
volume; advance-decline line; and others. Current and historical stock quotes are also available from
YAHOO!.
