These brief reports present basic information on more than 10,000 companies. Included are a company summary, address and phone number, company officer information, and sales figures. This database can be searched by company name or ticker symbol. Advanced searching by location, industry, and annual sales is also available.

Annual Reports of Corporations. (Annual)
Annual Reports present company information from the company's perspective. They usually contain narrative descriptions of the company's operations, special projects, its goals for the future, and financial statistics. In 1900, John Moody published Moody's® Manual of Industrial and Miscellaneous Securities, the first guide to U.S. public companies. Mergent, with its purchase of Moody’s, now provides this in-depth company information once only available in printed manuals via the Internet. MergentOnline provides a fully searchable database of 15,000 U.S. public companies (active and inactive) listed on the NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ, and includes corporate information for 20,000 non-U.S. companies. Fifteen years is the standard time frame for the financial data provided. Each company report also includes up-to-the-minute news items, a company description (narrative with SIC and NAICS information), and information on a company’s executives, property, capital stock (dividends and splits) and long-term debt (bonds and notes). Financial information may be downloaded utilizing software applications such as Microsoft® Word, Microsoft® Excel or Adobe® Acrobat® Reader®.

Business and Company Resource Center indexes over 950 business periodicals. These include scholarly journals, general business magazines, trade publications, and local business publications. The full text of articles is available for roughly half the titles indexed. The full image (via Adobe Acrobat) is also available for many titles. In addition, citations and full text articles may be emailed to user provided address. BCRC also includes detailed company histories, investment reports, company rankings, and industry overviews.

ABI/INFORM provides indexing to over 900 business trade journals, magazines, and journals, and for each entry an abstract of the article is included. Full text is available for approximately half the titles indexed. As with paper indexes, you may search by specific subject terms. Also, individual words and phrases may be searched for in the titles of articles or in their abstracts. This allows for information on very detailed concepts and rarely mentioned companies to be located quickly. Results may be printed or downloaded to a disc.

This index provides subject access to the Wall Street Journal (Final Eastern Edition), which is available on Microfilm 128. The General News Section is arranged alphabetically by subject and the Corporation News Section is arranged by company name. Below each subject and company name is a chronological list of articles, together with the date, page, and column of the article.  Abstracts of all articles appearing in the WSJ Eastern edition are available beginning January 1989 (selected abstracting May 1973 through December 1988) through LexisNexis Academic (on-campus/Shocknet2/PIN access only). When connected

This advisory service considers over 1,700 stocks, is arranged in 80 industry categories, and provides a brief analysis of each industry. Presents for each company a chart of its stock's market price over the last 15 years, the stock's beta, plus many other financial statistics. This series covers every company listed on the New York and American exchanges, together with over 1,600 OTC companies. Each company profile consists of a standardized, two-page report. The emphasis is on factual analysis, but investment advise appears in the "Summary" and "Current Outlook" sections. Each firm is also given an "S&P Ranking" from A+ to D (with D used to designate firms undergoing bankruptcy or reorganization.).  Available in S&P's NetAdvantage.

This directory is a standard reference for current, verified data covering over 140,000 U.S. companies. Volumes 1-3 contain an alphabetic listing of companies, and includes information such as the company's address and phone number, value of assets, number of employees, names of officers, and a brief description of the business. Volume 4 provides state specific data, arranging the companies by zip code. Vol. 5 ranks companies by sales within 4-digit SIC Codes.  The information published in paper format in this directory is now included in the "Company Profile" and "Rankings" options of Business & Company Resource Center at proxy.wichita.edu/login?url=http://galenet.galegroup.com/servlet/BCRC?locID=ksstate_wichita

Currently composed of five volumes, the first two serve as an overall indexes to the remaining three. Volume 1 includes indexes by company name, brand name, and U.S. and non-U.S. geographic locations. Volume 2 includes S.I.C. and corporate responsibilities indexes. Volume three contains data on U.S. Public Companies. Volume four includes entries on U.S. Private Companies. Volume five considers both public and private international companies. Entries include information on financials, personnel, and subsidiaries.
