REFERENCE INDEX TABLE 3—Designed to support Engineering Materials Science research.
¨ 2006 Annual Book of ASTM Standards)— The first part of Volume 00.01 is a subject index. The back of the volume is an alphanumeric list of ASTM standards.
¨ ASM Handbook / Metals Handbook—(vols. 1-21 with Comprehensive Index). Excellent source for information on “compositions, properties, selection, and applications of metals and alloys.” (see Electronic Resources).
¨ Engineered Materials Handbook (vols. 1 – 4)—Published by ASM this series covers nonmetals. Volumes include, “Composites”, “Engineering Plastics”, “Adhesives and Sealants”, and “Ceramics and Glasses.” Each volume is indexed separately.
¨ ASM Materials Engineering Dictionary—In addition to defining materials engineering terms, this volume includes supplemental tables and illustrations. Key concepts are covered in a selection of technical briefs.
¨ Comprehensive Composite Materials (vols. 1 – 6)—Encyclopedic entries on all areas of composite materials as an engineering concept. Each volume contains a subject index. Volume 6 includes a comprehensive subject index of the entire set.
ELECTRONIC SOURCES
¨ Compendex —The “COMPuterized Engineering inDEX” on the Web indexes and abstracts engineering journals and conference proceedings and related disciplines. Access is available from the Library Engineering Home Page or from the Library Homepage under “Databases.” Inspec, a physics and electrical engineering index, is searched simultaneously. Off-campus access requires your myWSU ID and password.
¨ ASM Handbook Online — features the complete content of ASM Handbook, Engineered Materials, volumes plus two ASM Desk Editions. Searchable interface (Helpful hint: to locate properties data use the Advanced Search and select “Tables”).
¨ Knovel Library—searchable full-text of over 400 engineering reference titles.
